Environment and agricultural projects aim to address sustainability challenges, focusing on conservation, resource efficiency and food productions. ICYEA India have 4 projects in Bangalore and Mysore. These projects’ main goal will be environmental issues and promoting sustainability. These projects activities such as conservation of natural resources, wildlife protection, and advocating for environmentally friendly policies.

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities:

Depending the seasonal needs, there will be farm activities like planting,

harvesting, de-weeding, pruning, manuring, spraying, watering, mulching,

tending to farm animals, collecting organic inputs, preparing organic manures /

pesticides, beekeeping,

 

We expect the volunteers to actively participate in any of these activities (after

learning them if they don’t know). In addition, the volunteers are welcome to

participate in preparing food for themselves and/or our guests. Preparing Case studies and social media updates.

 

Desired Volunteer’s Skills:

 

  • As this volunteering involves significant amount of manual work, physical fitness is key.
  • Social skills to get involved with the local workers.
  • ability to learn the local language will be a big plus
  • Likes to visit rural villages
  • Knowledge about Social media updates

Duration:

4 weeks to 16 Weeks

 

Accommodation:

 Accommodation will be provided by the center. one room on sharing basis.

 

Work Schedule:

Weekly 5 Days of working

Food:

Food will be provided at the center. Breakfast will be upma, idly, dosa and masala rice. meals will be chapati rice and sambar. Volunteers will be having delicious food.

 

Duration:

4 weeks to 16 weeks

Location: Mysore, Bangalore and Tamil Nadu.
