YOGA & Meditation Projects

Working with yoga projects as a volunteer can be a rewarding and enriching experience, combining your passion for yoga with the opportunity to help others. ICYEA India Has one project in Tamil Nadu.

This project is minimising carbon emissions and working to have a positive impact on the environment and Local community. It’s Located on the top of the Mountain and view of the surrounding is breath taking with view of biggest water reservoir in India. We have planted more than 7000 Saplings to create own mini forest. We have some Goats, Chickens, Turkey and Guinea fowl at our centre that roams freely. We also have many bird species and peacocks visiting our centre regularly. Apart from Learning Yoga and Meditation volunteers will also be involved in Sapling Plantation and maintenance of saplings. The Centre is using Solar Power for its Electricity needs.

We have designed our centre keeping natural environment in mind. We have incorporated sustainable materials, such as reclaimed wood and bamboo, and utilize energy-efficient technologies. We have source materials and labour Locally to reduce transportation emissions and support local communities. Food & Accommodation: We focus on raising awareness about environmental issues and promoting sustainable practices. We often organise educational programs, guided nature walks, and workshops on topics like conservation, renewable energy, and responsible tourism. These initiatives empower guests to make eco-conscious choices both during their stay and in their daily lives.

Programme Requirements:

Individuals new to yoga, as well as experienced practitioners, seeking a genuine and traditional approach to yoga and meditation.

  • Those desiring physical and mental relaxation, as well as detoxification through yoga.
  • Advanced yogis in search of expert guidance and an authentic yoga practice
  • Those desiring physical and mental relaxation, as well as detoxification through yoga.
  • Individuals seeking a brief immersion into the ashram lifestyle to experience its benefits.

Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead yoga classes: If you are a certified yoga teacher, you can volunteer to lead classes at community centres, hospitals, schools, or other organizations. This is a great way to share your knowledge and passion for yoga with others, and to make yoga more accessible to people who may not otherwise be able to afford it.
  • Assist with yoga classes: If you are not yet a certified yoga teacher, you can still volunteer to assist with yoga classes. This could involve setting up and taking down props, helping students with their poses, or providing emotional support.
  • Marketing and social media:Help yoga organizations promote their classes, workshops, and events by creating social media posts, writing blog articles, or designing marketing materials.

  • Fundraising:Help yoga organizations raise money by organizing events, writing grant proposals, or soliciting donations.
  • Administrative support: Help yoga organizations with administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and keeping records.
